Kyochon, a South Korean fried-chicken restaurant chain, has opened its sixth branch in Dubai at the Burjuman Mall, a centrally located mall in the Bur Dubai district.

Founded in 1991, Kyochon is one of the largest fried-chicken restaurants in South Korea, with international outlets in the US, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

KyoChon marked its entry into the region with the opening of its first branch in Dubai at City Center Deira. This was followed by the opening of branches at First Avenue Mall in Dubai Motor City, Mall of the Emirates, Diyafah Street, Burjuman Mall, and a cloud kitchen outlet in Jumeirah.

The restaurant chain plans to open around 100 franchise outlets across nine countries in the Middle East over the next five years.

Kyochon’s expansion in Dubai comes one year after it signed a regional master franchise agreement with Galadari Food and Beverage Division. The Dubai-based franchise operator is a subsidiary of the UAE-based conglomerate Galadari Brothers Group.
