Columbia Sportswear opens at Dubai Mall

American brand Columbia Sportswear has opened its flagship store at The Dubai Mall. The new store will offer the durable outdoor apparel that the brand is known for, including trekking clothing made with cooling fabric, hiking footwear, and camping gear.

The new Columbia store is expected to benefit from the high footfall at The Dubai Mall, which attracts around 100 million visitors on average every year.

Columbia Sportswear has been manufacturing outerwear, sportswear, and rugged footwear, as well as headgear, camping equipment, ski apparel, and outdoor accessories since 1938. The company specializes in developing technologies and performance products that keep outdoor enthusiasts warm, dry, cool, and protected.

In the GCC region, the brand is operated by GMG Sports, which is part of the Gulf Marketing Group (GMG). Founded in Dubai in 1978, GMG retails and manufactures a portfolio of international and home-grown brands across the sport, food, and health sectors. As of 2021, GMG had introduced more than 120 brands into its markets.
