To offer customers in the region an expanded portfolio of solutions
Friday 5 August 2022
Softline, a London-headquartered digital transformation solutions provider, has signed an agreement to acquire Dubai-based Seven Seas Technology. The acquisition marks the latest in a series of mergers and acquisitions by Softline.
Established in 1983, Seven Seas Technology is a systems integrator and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solution provider. In partnership with technology vendors such as Microsoft, the company provides medium and large enterprises with multi-cloud strategies.
With more than 300 ICT-certified professionals, Seven Seas Technology serves businesses across various sectors, including civil aviation, government, oil and gas, banking and finance, hospitality, healthcare, education, and retail.
Softline, on the other hand, provides digital transformation and cybersecurity solutions, connecting more than 150,000 organizations with over 6,000 IT vendors, alongside its own services and solutions. Founded in 1993, the group has grown from a local software reseller with 10 employees, to a global IT company with around 8,400 employees across 60 countries.
Softline got its primary listing on the London stock exchange in 2021 and its turnover that year was USD 2.2 billion. In the same year, the company acquired several businesses with an annual turnover totaling around USD 200 million.
Through its acquisition of Seven Seas Technology, Softline will be able to offer an expanded portfolio of solutions to organizations in the region as well as access to its global talent base. This includes relationships that it holds with cloud providers, such as Microsoft and AWS.
