Cloudflare, a global cloud services provider, has announced the launch of its Middle East regional office. The new office will support the American company’s growing operations in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), helping it to increase brand awareness, acquire and support customers, and recruit new talent.

Dubai is already home to one of Cloudflare’s 27 data centers located in the Middle East and Turkey. With a young population looking for content delivered at high internet bandwidth, the city represents an important market for the company.

Founded in 2009 in California, Cloudflare delivers content over cloud, protecting corporate networks, and helping customers build Internet-scale applications. With data centers spanning more than 275 cities around the world, it accounts for at least 20% of global internet traffic.

Over the last two years, Cloudflare has grown its EMEA team by more than 100% to reach nearly 700 employees. The company’s priority functions for the region include launching new data centers, increasing market share by building partnerships, and expanding the customer base and local team.

Cloudflare’s Dubai location joins the company's other global offices across the US as well as in Lisbon, London, Munich, Paris, Beijing, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo.
