Menarini sets up MEA HQ in Dubai

Menarini, an Italian pharmaceutical group, has opened its regional headquarters at the Dubai Science Park as part of its plans to expand into the Middle East and Africa. With a presence in 140 countries and more than 17,000 employees, the pharmaceutical group aims to raise the standard of patient healthcare across the region.

Founded in 1886, Menarini is a family-owned business specializing in pharmaceutical research and production, consumer healthcare, oncology, and diagnostics. The group has 18 production sites and nine research and development centers across the world.

Menarini expects its presence in Dubai to strengthen the company’s capabilities and improve market access in delivering products in the areas of cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and inflammatory diseases. The new regional office will also enable the company to form strategic connections with industry stakeholders.

Dubai Science Park is the region's first science-focused business community, created to foster growth and development in pharma, health, and wellness.

Established in 2005 and located in Al Barsha South in Dubai, the free zone facilitates interaction between government institutions, investors, and experts and is home to more than 400 companies employing more than 4,000 people.
