Funko opens first global store in Dubai

Pop culture lifestyle brand Funko has opened its first international franchise location in Dubai as part of its international expansion strategy. The new store at Dubai Hills Mall offers visitors the opportunity to experience Funko products, including Pop!, GOLD, Loungefly, and Funko Games.

The brand announced that it has appointed Monkey Distribution as the first franchise operator catering to growing pop culture enthusiasts in the Middle East.

Monkey Distribution is a Dubai-based pop culture wholesaler that caters to retailers in the Middle East and North Africa. Established in 2016, they are the exclusive regional distributor for Funko.

Headquartered in Washington, US, and founded in 1998, Funko designs and distributes licensed pop culture products across multiple categories, including vinyl figures, board games, action toys, plush, apparel, housewares, and accessories for consumers who seek tangible ways to connect with their favorite pop culture brands and characters.

Dubai Hills Mall is a new two-level shopping destination in Dubai Hills Estate. The mall has attracted a large number of brands since opening in February 2022.
