Cartier unveils boutique in Dubai airport

Store design inspired by traditional Arabic architecture

Historic French jewelry house Cartier has unveiled a new boutique concept at Dubai International Airport (DXB), opened in partnership with Dubai Duty Free. The new store reinforces Cartier’s strategy to accelerate its presence across major airports around the world and its commitment to elevating the passenger shopping experience.

Dressed in the luxury house’s signature gold and red color palette, the retail space offers Cartier watches, jewelry, and accessories lines for men and women.

The boutique combines Cartier’s design codes with local colors and motifs, including drawer pull handles that are made to resemble luggage handles and a dedicated ‘icon bar’ that showcases the luxury brand’s most popular creations.

The focal point of the store is a fan-shaped panel in red-orange fabric whose pattern was inspired by local vegetation in the UAE, while the façade features an intricate metal design inspired by ‘Mashrabiya’, a traditional Arabic architectural theme.

Founded by Louis-François Cartier in Paris in 1847, Cartier designs and manufactures jewelry, watches, fragrance, and leather goods. The luxury goods conglomerate opened its first store in Dubai in BurJuman shopping mall in 2000, and today has three locations in the city.
