Milanese fashion school expands in Dubai

The opening brings the number of international campuses to nine


Milan-headquartered fashion school Istituto Marangoni has opened a Dubai campus to add to its global presence in Milan, Florence, Mumbai, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Miami, London, and Paris.

Located in the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), the institute will start lessons in February 2023, offering hybrid classes for short courses and executive courses aimed at local professionals. Mirroring its Milan curricula, the school will offer preparatory courses, three-year degrees, and post-graduate courses lasting one year, focusing on fashion design, fashion styling, interior design, and visual design. Students who graduate from the Dubai school will obtain a diploma validated by the UAE’s Ministry of Education.

Istituto Marangoni was founded in 1935 in Milan as Istituto Artistico dell’Abbigliamento Marangoni. The school in Dubai will be 100% owned by Istituto Marangoni. The institute boasts over 45,000 luxury professionals among is alumni, including Domenico Dolce, Alessandro Sartori, Paula Cademartori, Gilda Ambrosio, Julie de Libran, and Nicola Brognano.

Istituto Marangoni enrolls about 4,700 students from 107 countries every year in its schools globally. It is part of the Galileo Global Education Italia, a private higher education company focused on creative industries.
