Hema opens 5th store in Dubai

Dutch houseware company will also be located at Dubai Hills Mall

Dutch houseware chain Hema’s fifth store in Dubai has opened at the Dubai Hills Mall. The brand is operated in the UAE by Apparel Group.

Hema sells a range of products such as kitchen utensils, dining utensils, office items, party decorations, etc.

The company opened its first store in Amsterdam in 1926, selling its products for 10, 25, or 50 cents. Hema began expanding in the Netherlands in 1958 and when it came to broadening its reach internationally, chose Belgium as its first stop.

Dubai Hills Mall has more than two million square feet of gross leasable area and about 750 stores.
