Emtelle acquires Dubai’s Afripipes

Expands its manufacturing lines to service a broader market

Emtelle Group, a manufacturer of pre-connectorized blown fiber, cabling, and ducted solutions, has acquired Afripipes Middle East. The transaction will bring together two complementary businesses to increase access to their solutions portfolio and provide broader access to their global manufacturing capacity, delivering a synergistic product in the FTTX industry.

The expansion, located in Dubai at the heart of the world’s trading crossroads, is part of Emtelle’s ongoing investment to sustain its presence as a global leader in the FTTX industry. It will see Emtelle’s manufacturing capability expanded by 15 lines, exceeding 75 globally, increasing its manufacturing capability and capacity, improving the security of supply to customers worldwide.

Founded in July 2007, Afripipes manufactures HDPE Duct, Sub-duct, and Microduct for the FTTX market. It will continue to operate as a standalone business and brand while the integration process is completed.
