Japan’s OWNDAYS opens Dubai Mall store

This is the eyewear brand’s first outlet in the Middle East

Okinawa-based OWNDAYS Company, which manufactures and sells eyeglasses and sunglasses, has signed a franchise agreement with Al Boom Marine, a Dubai-based retail company, and opened its first Middle East store at Dubai Mall.

This will be followed by another store in the UAE as well as outlets in eight countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt. The opening of the first store in the Middle East was originally planned for 2020, but was postponed due to the impact of the coronavirus.

Each store exhibits 1,000-1,500 varieties of products in various sizes and designs. Some products will be localized to appeal to Middle East buyers.
