Architecture and design studio Gensler has made what the firm is calling a "bold move" from a conventional office tower to a light, industrial unit.
Gensler carried out a worldwide survey to find out how workplaces have changed - and will change further - in the post-pandemic world.
The results led to the Dubai teams implementing changes to repurpose a space that acts as a workshop and feels like a home, to create a real-life case study.
Usually home to art galleries and trendy coffee shops, Alserkal Avenue was chosen as one of the "edgier, arty spaces to captivate a restless local audience" during lockdown and gave Gensler the opportunity to reinvent itself.
Al Tayer Stocks brought the project to life after it was sourced by leasing agent JLL.
