Airbus Cabin Electronics has opened its first service center for the Africa and the Middle East regions at Dubai Airport Freezone.
The facility will serve local and regional carriers as well as customers in India and Turkey and will be an important addition to Airbus’s continued growth and investment in these regions.
The Dubai service center will provide repair and spare part services for cabin components and systems as well as customer onsite technical services such as cabin system training. It will give Airbus customers greater flexibility, with spare parts being maintained closer to airlines’ operations.
The launch of the facility will support further growth in the regional and global aviation industry. It is aligned with the UAE’s commitment to localization. And it will play a key role in the UAE’s economic diversification plans and development of the wider regional aerospace sector.
Airbus has had a strong presence in Africa and Middle East since it first opened its offices more than four decades ago. Over the years, Airbus has initiated a number of strategic partnerships in the region that have contributed to the development of the industry by providing expertise, services and products. Today, the region plays an important role in international business and is a key regional market for Airbus.
