American Concrete Institute opens regional hub at DWTC

Century-old institution picks Dubai for its first overseas office

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has opened its regional office in Dubai’s World Trade Center, marking its first physical presence outside of the United States since its inception in 1904.

The Middle East regional office, headed by a regional director, will focus on advancing the development, dissemination, and adoption of ACI consensus-based knowledge on concrete and its uses in the region.

The office will lead efforts to establish and nurture a wide range of strategic relationships between ACI members, chapters, companies, governmental bodies, educational institutions, partners, and other construction industry organizations throughout the region and beyond.

In addition to strengthening strategic relationships, the regional office will increase awareness of regional concrete design and construction practices, and the concrete innovation taking place in the Middle East.
