UAE facilities management to reach USD 12b by 2020
Expo 2020 Dubai will result in “dozens of” new real estate projects
Thursday 14 March 2019
The UAE’s facilities management sector is expected to be worth USD 12 billion by 2020, according to Jamal Lootah, Chairman of the Middle East Facilities Management Association.
In an interview on the side lines of a conference, Lootah said the sector is expected to grow 10-15 percent, driven by Expo 2020 Dubai and the entry of “dozens of real estate projects into the local market”.
Major facilities management companies in the UAE have recommended to the country’s Federal National Council that the training of workers in the sector be standardized at the state level, particularly in regard to health and safety procedures.
