German door maker sets up production line at Jafza

Hörmann factory will cater to GCC and Africa demand

Hörmann, a Germany-headquartered producer of industrial, commercial, and residential doors, marked a decade in the Middle East with the opening of a new 4,800 square meter production line at the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) in Dubai.

The new production line has the capacity to produce 35,000 doors a year. It will serve demand from all GCC countries and Africa and will enable prompt customization of doors for regional customers.

The company has provided its products and services to many prestigious projects such as Bvlgari Hotel (Dubai), Louvre Museum (Abu Dhabi), showrooms of Lamborghini, Porsche, and BMW in Dubai, and those of Nissan in Sharjah, Lexus in Ras Al Khaimah, and Jeep in Abu Dhabi. It has also served Coca Cola in Riyadh, Mars Chocolate Factory in Dubai, Royal Clock Tower in Makkah, and Porsche in Nairobi.

The new facility will enable it to cut delivery times from six weeks to about a week. The Jafza factory can produce hinged doors, such as fire-rated doors, security doors, internal doors, and multi-purpose doors. These meet the requirements of regional civil defense authorities. Its doors are used in industrial and public buildings, villas, apartment compounds, hospitals, and at airports.
