Chinese specialty chemical firm builds Dubai factory

First new material manufacturer from China to set up a Mideast production facility


China XD Plastics Company Limited has announced the commissioning of its digital automated production base for engineering alloy plastics at Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ). The specialty chemical company is among the top-500 non-state-owned enterprises in China's manufacturing sector engaged in the development, manufacture, and sale of polymer composite materials primarily for automotive applications.

As the first new material manufacturer from China building a production facility in the Middle East, Dubai Xinda is visualized as a logistics and manufacturing hub for the company with a focus on top-end polymer composite materials, including long chain nylon alloy and other specialty engineering plastics, quality assurance, marketing, and distribution in Middle East and EU.

Dubai Xinda will provide support to the company's international strategic clientele in customer support, logistics, and delivery.

Following China's One Belt One Road initiative, Dubai Xinda will supply advanced materials for high-end functional components for applications in automobiles, electronics, alternative energy, railroad, ships, and airplanes with its 11.25 thousand metric tons annual capacity stationed in the digital and automatic factory.

China XD, founded in 1985, supplies products for the exteriors and interiors of 31 automobile brands manufactured in China, including Audi, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Toyota, Buick, Chevrolet, Mazda, Volvo, Ford, Citroen, and Volkswagen.
