Infrastructure giant opens workshop at Maritime City

Facility is the only factory-authorized operation in 10 Mideast countries

MaK Middle East, owned by Caterpillar, which is an international manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, engines, gas turbines, and diesel electric locomotives, has opened a new workshop at Dubai Maritime City to provide product support services in the Middle East for its MaK, CM, and EMD branded medium-speed engines.

MaK Middle East is the only factory-authorized distribution operation for MaK, CM, and EMD brands in 10 Middle Eastern countries – the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon.

The company says the state-of-the-art workshop in Dubai, equipped with dedicated machines to provide high-quality component overhauls, will be the base for the factory-trained service engineering team. It will offer a wide range of services including troubleshooting, turnkey repairs, supervision, and scheduled overhauls.
