Ctrip, the China-based online travel agent that claims to be the second largest in the world, has announced the launch of its first travel concept store at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3. This is the brand’s first offline venture, combining interactive and integrated professional offline services, including consultation and on-site booking.
The store aims to provide customers, particularly the Chinese, round-the-clock customer service and in-destination products. Its location at the world’s busiest airport by passenger numbers ensures that online and offline services, including travel guidance, consultation, transportation, catering, shopping, among others, will reach its target customers.
The opening of Ctrip’s concept travel store marks the 2018 UAE-China Week and a fruitful cooperation with Dubai International Airport and Dubai Tourism. Travelers can book local tour activities and be guided by on-site staff providing 24-hour service in languages such as Chinese, English, Arabic, and others. The concept store is equipped with TV screens and iPad Pros, allowing travelers to conveniently find their desired travel information.
Ctrip has worked with Dubai Tourism to design a variety of stopover itineraries and local entertainment options for travelers in transit or visiting Dubai for any amount of time. The company plans to launch other stores this year at destinations popular among Chinese travelers.
